What is Opt Out?
Opt Out is the choice given to students to decide whether they would like to receive materials from BibliU or decide to find their materials somewhere else.
How can students access BibliU’s Opt Out page?
The BibliU Opt Out page can be easily accessed from the BibliU Reader. To access the reader, students can either login via their LMS or through our SSO integration with their school. Once logged in, if your school is set up with BibliU-hosted Opt Out and the student is enrolled in courses that BibliU is providing materials for, there will be an Opt Out banner at the top of the reader.
How can students Opt Out from BibliU?
Once on the Opt Out page, students can look through the materials that they are receiving from BibliU for the semester. On the Opt Out page, the Opt Out deadline will be listed. This is the date by which the student needs to finalize their Opt Out decision.
If a student wishes to Opt Out, they can click on the “Opt Out” button where they will be presented with a confirmation window asking them why they chose to opt out. Once they make that selection and click “Continue”, their decision will be saved and reflected on the Opt Out page.
A student is able to change their Opt Out decision as many times as they wish until their deadline where the decision is made final. Up until that deadline, students will also have access to all of their materials no matter what their current Opt Out decision is. Once the deadline hits, they will lose access to any of the materials they chose to Opt Out of and they will retain the rest.
If a student has opted out and the opt out period has ended, the student will no longer be able to select to opt in to BibliU.
