Why This Is Important
You won't receive these emails, but your students will. Knowing what they receive helps you answer questions about accessing materials, opting out, and what to expect at the start of the term.
Overview
BibliU automatically sends emails to enrolled students from noreply@bibliu.com. These emails explain the access program, how to access course materials, and how to opt in or out. Your institution may customize the messaging, but the core content remains the same.
Email Timeline
Students receive the following emails:
- Welcome Email (1-2 weeks before class): Notifies students their materials are ready and will be available on the first day of class. Includes instructions for accessing eBooks and courseware, and information on how to opt out.
- Day 1 Email (first day of class): Confirms materials are now available and repeats access and opt out instructions.
- Opt-Out Confirmation: Sent when a student opts out. Explains that they will no longer have access through BibliU and are responsible for obtaining their own materials.
- Opt-In Confirmation: Sent when a student opts back in. Confirms their materials are active again.
What Students Are Told About Opting Out
Students can opt out before their course's census or drop/add date. Changes may take up to 24 hours to take effect. If a student tells you they can't find their materials, checking their opt-out status is a good place to start troubleshooting.
