Setting up the BibliU Tool
In this article, we will cover setting up BibliU for your courses in D2L Brightspace. Please follow below!
1.) Click on the gear icon in the top right hand corner, and select "Manage Extensibility".
2.) Select the "LTI Advantage" option in the top navigation bar, and the click on "Register Tool".
3.) Enter the following information in the tool options that populates:
- Enabled- toggle on
- Name- BibliU Integration
- Description- BibliU LTI 1.3 Integration
- Domain- https://bibliu.com/
- Redirect URLs- https://bibliu.com/users/lti
- OpenID Connect Login URL-
https://bibliu.com/users/lti/initialise-login/VALUE THAT BIBLIU PROVIDES
- Target Link URI- https://bibliu.com/users/lti
- Ensure that "Send Institution Role" is checked.
4. ) Click Save. You will see information populate below the set up, please send your BibliU team the "Client ID" and the "Issuer" that shows from this integration set up.
5.) We will then need the deployment to be set up. To do this, select the gear icon in the top right hand corner of your D2L screen, and select "External Learning Tools".
6.) Select "New Deployment".
7.) Select the BibliU integration that you just created.
8.) Ensure that the following options are selected:
9.) Select "Add Org Units" and select your organization and any descendants you would like to include, along with the courses that you would like to include. This will vary from school to school, so the org units included will be based on your institution.
10.) Click "Add". From there, D2L will show a deployment ID. Please send this to your BibliU team with your Client ID and Issuer.
11.) To add the link to your courses, you now have to add the link under the deployment. To do this, click "View Links" under the deployment.
12.) Select "New Link", and complete the fields that show.

- URL: https://bibliu.com/users/lti
13.) Now that you've added the tool, the deployment and the link, and shared all of the necessary data points with BibliU, you can navigate to a course to add the tool to your course. To do this, select "Add Existing".
14.) Select "External Tool Activity".
15.) Select "BibliU" from your External Learning Tool options.
You will now see BibliU as an option in your course navigation!
