The Read Aloud feature is one of our favorites — we want to make sure it's working great for you! Here's how to use it and what to try if you run into any hiccups.
How to Use Read Aloud
- Open your book in the BibliU reader
- Select the portion of text you'd like to hear
- Click the Read Aloud button that appears
- Hit Play to start listening!
You can also adjust the reading accent and playback speed from the bottom menu — great for finding your perfect listening pace!
No Sound or Audio Isn't Playing
Check that your device volume is turned up and not muted, make sure your browser has permission to play audio, and try switching to Chrome (our recommended browser) or the BibliU desktop app.
The Read Aloud Button Isn't Appearing
Some content types — like image-based PDFs — don't support text selection or TTS. If you're in a supported section, try refreshing the page and selecting the text again. That usually does it!
Audio Is Choppy or Cutting Out
This is almost always a connectivity issue. Try switching to a stronger network or moving closer to your router. You've got this!
The Feature Seems to Be Missing Entirely
Read Aloud availability depends on publisher permissions, so not every title has it enabled. If you think it should be available for your book, please reach out — we're happy to look into it!
Still Having Trouble? We're Here!
Drop us a line at support@bibliu.com with:
- Your Unique Identifier (see: Sharing your Unique Identifier with Support)
- The full title and author of the book
- A description of what's happening
- A screen recording or screenshots if you're able to capture them
We'll get you back to listening in no time!
