Don't panic — your annotations and highlights are almost certainly still there! BibliU saves and syncs them automatically across all your devices, so let's track them down together.
Quick Checks First
- Are you connected to the internet? If you highlighted in offline mode, your annotations sync automatically as soon as you're back online. Make sure you're connected and give it a moment to catch up
- Check the Annotations panel — tap or click the pen icon in the upper-left corner of your book. This shows a full list of all the annotations saved for that title, which can be easier to browse than scrolling through pages
- Are you logged into the right account? Make sure you're using the same email address you always use to log in — annotations are tied to your account
Still Can't Find Them?
Close the app or browser tab completely, wait about 15 minutes, and then open your book again. This gives the sync a chance to fully complete.
Escalating the Issue
If your annotations are still missing after trying the above, we want to help! Please reach out to us at support@bibliu.com with:
- Your Unique Identifier (see: Sharing your Unique Identifier with Support)
- The full title and author of the book
- A description of what happened (e.g., after an update, after switching devices, etc.)
Our team will dig into it and do everything we can to recover your work!
