This article will explain how to set up your BibliU content.
Very important! Please note that:
- BibliU only provides digital content - if you have any questions related to print or auxiliary materials such as hoodies, lab kits, goggles, etc. please contact the bookstore at JetsStore@jccmi.edu.
- All classes starting from January 2023 onwards will use Canvas.
- If you are migrating your class from JetNet to Canvas, please ensure you delete any JetNet integrations first before re-adding them on Canvas. If you have already added an integration on Canvas without deleting it on JetNet first, you will need to delete both integrations and then re-add the link on Canvas. By "integration" we mean any link, activity, plugin or resource added on JetNet or Canvas, such as a BibliU or Pearson link.
- All content will be implemented by December 31st. If you follow the steps below and find that your title is not working, this could be because your title has not been set up by BibliU yet. Please check again after December 31st.
STEP 1. Find out whether the title will be procured via BibliU
- Open the BibliU booklist for the term in course. For Spring of 2023, the booklist is here.
- Check the 'BibliU Able to Procure (Y/N)' column.
- If your title is marked as 'N' this means that unfortunately, BibliU was unable to source your book. Please reach out to the Jackson bookstore by emailing JetsStore@jccmi.edu for information on what alternative resources have been put in place for you and your students, and how to access them.
- If a title is marked as 'N/A' this means that there were no requests made to BibliU for content for that particular row. Please email JetsStore@jccmi.edu for information on what alternative resources have been put in place for you and your students, and how to access them.
- If a title is marked as 'TBD' this means that BibliU is still trying to procure your adoption.
- If a title is marked as 'Y' this means the title was procured via BibliU and in this case, you may proceed to the next step.
STEP 2. Check the 'Confirmed Content Type' column. This will have one of the 3 options listed below, namely "Ebook", "Courseware - Access Codes" or "Courseware - LTI Integration"
STEP 3. Set up your title according to its content type (ebook, access code courseware or LTI courseware) and the publisher (N.B. the publisher is only relevant for certain LTI courseware setups; Please also note Access Code Courseware is also known as Coded Courseware, and LTI integrated Courseware is also known as Codeless Courseware).
