The Adoption Tool is designed to make managing your course materials as smooth as possible, but occasionally things don't go quite as expected. Here are the most common issues and how to resolve them!
Can't Log In to the Adoption Tool
- Make sure you're going to the correct URL: admin.bibliu.com
- Select your institution from the list on the login page, then use your university credentials to sign in
- If your credentials aren't working, reach out to our Support Team for further help!
Booklist Upload Failing or Not Processing
- Double-check that your booklist file is in the correct format — BibliU accepts specific templates for bulk uploads. See: Using Our Adoption Tool for the correct template
- Make sure there are no missing required fields (ISBN, title, course code) in your file
- Try re-exporting and re-uploading the file if it was saved in an unusual format
Adoption Request Stuck in "Pending" or Not Updating
- Allow some processing time — larger booklists can take a little while to work through
- Refresh the page and check the status again after a few minutes
- If a request has been pending for more than 24 hours without movement, please reach out to us so we can investigate
Title Not Found in the Catalog
- Try searching by ISBN as well as title — sometimes slight title variations cause search mismatches
- If the title genuinely isn't in the catalog, contact us and our Publisher Relations team will look into getting it added
