A really common question as the end of term approaches — here's everything you need to know about how student access works when a course ends!
When Does Access End?
Student access to BibliU materials is tied to the term dates set up for your institution's program. Once the term ends, students will generally lose access to their course materials (There are exceptions to this!).
The exact end date depends on your institution's agreement with BibliU — your BibliU account manager or the admin portal will have the specific dates for your program.
What About Annotations and Highlights?
Students' annotations and highlights are saved to their BibliU account. If a student re-enrolls in a course using the same title in a future term, their annotations should be available again. However, if access has fully expired, students will not be able to access their notes until access is reinstated.
Can Access Be Extended?
In some cases, yes — access extensions can be arranged. If you have students who need continued access beyond the end of term (for example, students completing coursework late or over a summer session), please reach out to us at support@bibliu.com with your institution name, the relevant course details, and the students affected. We'll work with you to find the best solution.
What Do Institutions Need to Do at the End of a Term?
For most programs, the transition is handled automatically — there's nothing you need to do! Your BibliU account manager will be in touch about renewals or new term setup when the time comes.
If you have questions about your specific setup, reach out to us at support@bibliu.com and we're happy to walk you through it.
